Ambedkar Stadium is a multi use stadium in Delhi. Most of the football matches are held here. It has a seating capacity for 20, 00 people and is one of the prestigious stadiums developed of Delhi Government.

As the date for Delhi to host the commonwealth games approaches, the city is gearing up for a sporting extravaganza unlike anything the country has ever seen. Traditionally, Delhi has never been a powerhouse when it comes to sporting infrastructure but the Ambedkar Stadium is a proud sports facility, which has stood the test of time and seen glorious sporting moments. Having played here on several occasions, I reminisce with great fondness on my football-ing days: making opponents bite the dust and suffering countless bruises by sliding unnecessarily on the lush green field! Ambedkar Stadium is not state of the art and may not be as popular as many others, but it's pretty decent and having been renovated as recently as 2007, it can accommodate up to 20,000 spectators.
