British Library, started in 1960, is located on F C Road in Pune, Maharashtra. It is a branch of the country-wide British Council library network.

This library holds almost 28,000 books in various subjects. Educational and informational multimedia facilities, international journals and dailies all contribute to this storehouse of information. Online access is another benefit to the subscribers of this library.

British Library is open from 11:00 to 19:00 hrs (Tuesday to Saturday) and 11:00 to 18:00 hrs (Sundays).

The largest of British Council's worldwide operation, the British Council Library network in India is spread across nine cities.
